My name is Rose.

About Me

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: all I desire is to live a life worthy of the calling of loving you with everything inside of me. I want to live every moment being nearest and dearest to you. And I want to lay down my life--forsaking all else as lost. That's all that is truly worth knowing about me.
I guess this is the place where I post for your disposal something spectacular about me, right? Like my name, dreams, dislikes or if I've ever shot milk out of my nose.

I'm in a pleasant mood so I'll appease your curiosity (except for the milk-from-nose bit; I'll leave that up to your imagination). For starters you can call me Rose (or Rosie Riveter if you desire) and this is my blog, Love&Royalty. I devised that clever little name from combining the meanings of my full first name. Voila!

*Sigh*

Okay let's be honest here. Unless you are family or that furry fuzz ball that sleeps next to me every night (my dog, to clarify; don't let your imagination run) then what I'm saying probably doesn't make any sense. But it's okay. I mean, I know you're almost 21 years behind schedule in getting to know me, but I want to invite you to read-on so you can understand why I blog about what I do. So, happy reading my life's resume!

- I'm no longer a custodian but officially a college student! Yay! I'm taking online courses and plan to go to the campus of my dreams by fall semester. Gee, after being out of high school for almost three years it's nerve-wracking to be back in a school environment. But what's amazing is that I get to learn all about Jesus! It can't get any better than this.
- I want to major in filming and sound production. It's fun to see God's leadership. My dream was to be a novelist but when I asked him what He desired of me He took me down this path. It's a little scary but it's also fun!
- It's my prayer that by 2012/13 I will live or at least have visited Germany.
-One of my GREATEST passions is history in all of its magnificent forms. I love researching it and seeing how yesterday effects our today.
– I’m very diverse in style; you will rarely see a label above my head. From preppy to punk; vintage to bohemian; dorky to…not dorky. It is SO boring to be only one!
– Facial piercings and tattoos are art to me. I find them not only eye-catching but absolutely addictive to look at and to get.
– I’m pretty strict about what I listen to; mostly it’s praise and worship from Forerunner Music although there are certain…secular/christian mainstream songs that inspire me. So basically if I’m inspired to take flight after God, then I’ll listen to it.
– I absolutely love talking to new people and even establishing life-long friendships. The Internet is an amazing tool for this if used in the correct context.
– I am a coffee shop junkie. It’s a hobby of mine to jump from coffee house to coffee house, especially locally owned ones. If I see one I’ve never been to and am financially able, I want to hit it. Starbucks is SO overrated.
- I have an over-active imagination. I find myself thinking up all of these great fictional story ideas but then I force it to quiet down.
- I gave up wishing I lived in another era. God has me where I am in the season I'm in for a reason. But I won't hesitate to say I would have made an awesome glamour girl of the 30's or a nurses' aid in the 40's.
- I love vintage fashion, hairstyles and ways of living especially the simplicity of the 1940's. Our grandparents were amazing in their prime and there's a lot we can learn from them and apply to our own lives today.
- There's more but my fingers are tired at this point so I'm going to end this here. Remember, I love to talk so feel free to get in touch with me.
